Felted Soap Workshop with Ann Gravelle

Join us for a cozy, hands-on evening learning the art of felted soap with fiber artist Ann Gravelle.

In this workshop, you’ll create your own felted soap using soft wool roving wrapped around a bar of locally made soap from Dusty Tree Soap. Felted soap is a bar of soap encased in wool, which acts as a built-in exfoliating washcloth. The wool gently lathers and exfoliates as you wash, dries quickly between uses, and helps the soap last longer by keeping it out of standing water. The finished bar is easy to grip, non-slip in the shower, and especially great for travel or everyday use—simple, practical, and beautiful.

Ann will guide you through the wet-felting process step by step, using water, heat, and friction to bond the wool to the soap. No prior experience is needed.
