Autumn Kantha Table Covers
Autumn decorating deserves some extravagance. The rich colors, the gorgeous textures, the whole season is showing off a bit.
So we were completely smitten when we discovered these Maison Mieko hand-dyed tablecloths. Can you believe they are mud dyed? Clay and resin are used to create the patterns before the fabric is dipped in natural dyes. Then each one is finished with hand-stitched kantha embroidery, a centuries-old textile tradition from Bengal made by women artisans.
The colors are gorgeous, the texture is beautiful, and the handmade process means every one is a bit different. We are stocking them in two autumn colors, Umber and
Utopia.
